I've heard that James isn't gay, just very silly.  I'm inclined to believe that, but whether he is or he isn't, he's definitely unusual looking.  In some pics he's cute, and in some he looks sort of weird. 

So far I think he's just really silly and immature, keeping in mind that James just turned 21 and he could be majorly immature.  I just hope he doesn't end up embarrassing his family in any way.

The Middleton family reminds me of the Lizzie Bennett in Pride and Prejudice...they could blow the whole deal for Kate, add the family to the no job issue and what do you get?

Also, a tidbit of news about the old Pipster: Word of her talents in the kitchen have spread far and wide, from SW2 to W11. Apparently she's really been working on her cooking these days, and although she has been a bit of a Martha Stewart type in the kitchen and loved to cook (spoiling her uni flatmates, etc), she's become better than ever. Well, that's good news for her. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and a rich/titled man can't be much different.

^ Don't mean to be disagreeable here, but I didn't find anything wrong with those party pics. Just a bunch of kids horsing around. Maybe a few too many empty liquor bottles, but no Paris Hilton type powder kicking around etc etc. What I do find fugly and tasteless is that red drape she is wearing. Now that is one fugly dress. Seriously... looks like drapery fabric at the "Chicken Ranch".

I don't either...infact i think couple of the photos from this event has been posted previously, these are just from a different angle. And Iam not sure if this question has been already answered, but whose house is that? That book shelf is in almost every picture in which Pippa is present.

Well, I think Kate is definitely the beauty of the family.  Not impressed with either Pippa or James...both are very average looking and kind of rediculous, riding on the coat tails of big sis.

I think Pippa is pretty... she has a different look from Kate and from the rest of her family---yet, she still looks like them. I really like that.

I think Pippa is much prettier than Kate. Pippa actually looks her age, whereas Kate can sometimes manage to look like she's pushing 40. Although I think Pippa could lean off the fake-and-bake a bit.

Is it sad that the first thing I noticed in those pics was the torn-up arm of the chair? And...is that "dress" made out of...toilet paper?

Yeah but for me Kate and Pippa have nothing of Lizzie and Jane Bennet. Not their charism and Know how to them live. For me kate and Pippa are more Kitty and Lydia

I've seen some of those photos before, someone else showed them to me.  They're from some of Pippa's friends' fb pics.  HMW is more familiar with Pippa than I am so she can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the pics were either taken at JJ's house or one of Pippa's other friends.  None of the pics were taken at the Middleton home. And make no mistake about it, Pippa's friends are mostly from either aristo families, or old money, land owner families.  Pippa strikes me as being an extremely socially savvy person, much more so than Kate.

Pippa went to uni at Edinburgh university, and she had her own set of aristo friends that had nothing to do with Kate or Wills.  Pippa probably had better social connections than Kate did from day one anyway, simply because she started attending Marlborough at a younger age than Kate.  James started at Marlborough right out of primary school; I'd be willing to be he has the same type of social connections that Pippa does. 

Edinburgh is where most of their social set attended uni anyway.  Heck, a lot of Wills and Harry's social set from Eton attended uni at Edinburgh also.  Pippa was flatmates with two Duke's sons for 3 years, and that had nothing to do with Kate at all. Pippa has also been dating a guy (JJ) from a rich, 3rd generation old money family for over 4 years now (including their brief breakup).

So Kate's coattails weren't really needed, Pippa Middleton and James Middleton have been doing their own socialising with their own set without Kate from the very beginning.  Sure I think Kate's relationship with Wills has improved their social standing or their social cache, but I can also see that Pippa and James were doing fine in the first place even without Kate dating Wills.

Plus, Pippa dresses better than Kate does.  I think Pippa has a better fashion sense, she seems able to put together a good looking outfit without getting it wrong somewhere.  Kate seems to have difficulty doing that.
