Please stick to the actual topic of this thread and leave discussions about Edward, Sophie, Diana et-al out of it.  Thank you.

Well, I believe I was on topic when I posed my question.
Oh well, it's old news anyways.

^you were.  the Edward/Diana/Sophie was veering OT though. Wink
Has anyone mentioned that he may not have attended because he didn't want to sell himself (pictures) to a tabloid?
^it was suggested.  its possible but i dont really believe that was the reason he didnt go.  mostly because other senior members of the Royal Family were at the wedding and reception knowing that Hello would be there.  and also because he sent Kate in his place.  if William really did have his nose out of joint about the Hello deal i doubt if Kate would have gone at all.

William cannot and did not "send Kate" in his place. She got an invitation and used it. Such press nonsense. If WIllam really were upset about the attention if he went he shouldn't have "sent" Kate ( that is discouraged her from using the invitation she got) and he called even more attention to himself by not going at all.

Exactly. She went on her own invitation and he had something else to do, it was very simple, we all just like drama smile

Kate is not "representing" Prince William. She was invited. She is a guest. She can only "represent" a royal via being married to him.

Exactly. Catherine is a friend of the bride and groom and was a guest in her own right.

How is she supposed to denounce the rumor without talking to the press or having someone talk to the press on her behalf for which she is always accused and criticized?  If anyone were to denounce the story shouldn't it be CH?

It doesn't matter who complains. The press is off base. A royal girlfriend is a private citizen, not a royal. Married royals "send" a spouse like Charles may "send" Camilla to an event to represent him. Kate and Chelsy are not engaged or married to their boyfriends and have no official royal role. These are the facts. The press should know better.

Absolutely on target!    It is press nonsense.
