I'm confused, is it me or do these articles contradict them selves in the following sentences?:

One article said that the reason they are scrapping the souvenir designs is that they are out of date - William with his thinning hair no longer looks like their design and the designer has left the job.  I guess they will come up with a new design when the time comes.  They are not implying that they don't think there will be an engagement.

It looks (DM) like a word exchange error from the typist - journalist.  All the bookmakers talk about the When and not If.

I highly doubt Kate would mistake the person on the other line as a friend

I highly doubt anyone could.

My guess is that something else is going on and the papers are taking some liberty knowing no complaints would be coming as long as they do their part.

There is a little snippet in The Adelaide Advertiser, my main newspaper where I live saying the the pair flew out for their holiday at Mustique yesterday.

...waiting in line no less...how ordinary...for those trying to dodge the press. I would have turned around and took their picture just to piss them off! I would have ended up in jail, bounced off the island and without the photo, but it would have been "priceless."

I'm still not convinced there was a holiday for those two there. Were we not told by conflicting reports by the press that William & Kate were not going to attend Peter & Autumn's wedding because they were off to Mustique. Then the story turn around to being William can't attend the wedding because he has to go to another wedding in Africa, but Kate will be at the wedding. Kate as we know turned up to the wedding and William didn't. Then they were after the wedding the two supposedly went on holiday in Mustique after the wedding.

If the engagement rumours were sky high like they were, and the press were telling us they were going to go there. Why havent we seen any photos of them being there, and why the conflicting reports of when they were there. My local paper had him flying out to mustique two days before his actual navy stint.

I read the information from the link posted by LIW, and I think it's possible that the person is telling the truth.  They said there was a camera ban on the island, and people were restricted to taking photos only in their own villas.  If that's true, it could explain why we haven't seen any photos.   

Since we've already read that Wills gave Kate a wooden bracelet while they were on Mustique, I guess it just comes down to whether or not it's believable or even feasible that Wills and Kate would go on a holiday to Mustique. 

They've been to Mustique before, and they've been on holidays to other tropical islands together before, so it's certainly possible.  And in all of the recent navy photos we've seen of Wills, he definitely looks like he's been toasting in the sun.

Although I'm not inclined to believe any media report 100% unless there are photos, or the report comes from a fairly reliable source like ITN or the BBC; I do think it's probable that Wills and Kate went to Mustique.

Why ban photo this time and not the past time? And sincerelly all journalist know they are in moustique. No phone photo. Phone may be ban too? Can you really think that brtish security ban photo in all city tourism? If there are in hotel or in private plage may be. But in the street? I'm not really sure this is true.

I don't think they were their either. If there was a ban, photographers would have done more effort to get a picture of the two leaving or arriving at the airport.
He did have a tan though. He could have got that in africa, which I also don't think he was. I think he was already in the Caribbean to get a quick tour of what he'll be doing there with the Royal Navy.

The last time the Middletons were in Mustique we didn't get any pics of them on the island just at the airport and when Will and Kate vacationed in the Caribbean in 2006 (?) they were only pictured on the yacht they rented not on the island either. I always had the impression that Mustique has luxury resorts for the rich and famous. Hence I doubt that "ordinary" tourists who'd take a pic with a cell phone and sell it to the papers would get anywhere near the resort in which Will and Kate stayed. Therefore it's not surprising that they were not pictured on the island. I agree though that it's odd that there are no pics of them (or at least Kate) at the airport.  However the report doesn't sound unreasonable or completely fabricated to me. Though it's of course always possible that someone just mistook another British couple for Will and Kate.

They may have been there, it's no big deal really, she's still came home without a proposal.

Well they are both naturally tanned so they definately went. I hope they had a relaxing time and could be themselves.
