Good on ya Harry. It should be you who is made a knight of the Garter not your brother.

Given he was part of the "tour", it would have been inappropriate had he not attended.  I don't believe he deserves credit for participating in the parade

Maybe Harry does not deserve credit for participating in some parade, but then has William accomplished so much more?

  Will they march in uniform?

Btw. William did not get knighted because he accomplished anything but as heir to Edward III. Harry will not get the Garter for any accomplishment either but as well as heir to Edward III like all Royals. I was surprised to learn that Edward and Andrew only joined in 2006. I guess Harry has a long wait ahead of him.

Isnt it Harry's duty to participate in this parade?

If so, he should not get credit for doing his duty. I think he is doing a great job as of late. He might have to wait awhile tho to become a knight of the Garter.

Maybe Harry does not deserve credit for participating in some parade, but then has William accomplished so much more?

Harry is becoming the star of the family... he is starting to outshine them all!!

The meaning of the Garter is chivary. Andrew should have received the honor sooner and Harry deserves it as true veterans who have actually served in war zones. I guess second sons no matter what they accomplish will always be somewhat ignored.

Back on topic I don't see this as being given credit as much as it shows how much Harry supports his comrades.

Prince Harry today marched in a memorial parade to troops who fell during his tour of Afghanistan - on the day that four more British soldiers were killed in the country.

The 23-year-old Household Cavalry officer joined 200 servicemen and women on Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile ahead of a service at the city's St Giles' Cathedral.

The Order of the Garter has nothing to do with fallen troops or war zones.
