I feel ya stix.... faint

Quote
We revealed earlier this month how he was almost KILLED by a Taliban rocket and you can now see dramatic footage of his patrol coming under fire here. The soldier remembers how Harry didn't panic and put others before himself.

"We had incoming from the 107mm while treating Afghans and had to leg it sharpish," he recalls. "But Harry was very cool and kept his head down. He was more worried about the poor Afghans than the shelling.

Wow. That sounds like something Harry would do... I love how caring and compasionate he is! Put others before yourself is a great leadership quality.

Quote
But Harry struggled to hide his hatred for landmines, something he's clearly inherited from his mother.

The soldier added: "You could see it in his face when he saw an Afghan landmine victim we were helping. He said landmines were ‘monstrous' things but he knows you've just got to get on with it and deal with them."

Do you think Harry could pcik up where his mother left off?? Or wil he just stick to Sentabale atm? I think he could do a great job to raise awareness of landmines in dangerous areas and lobby for support for the victims.

I am already impressed with Harry - but i seem to be more impressed now!!

Those trousers (pants to Americans) are dangerously low.  35
are they?  i hadn't noticed.  i swear. Lila 35 laugh
Harry lost a bit of weight while he was there.  i noticed his pants looked really lose in the pix we saw a few months back.  i just didnt realize how lose!  not that i'm complaining.   goat must not be very fattening....no wonder he complained about the food.

Why are all the other guys blotted out when we had seen  some of those pics?
probably because they didnt give permission to appear in the paper....or more likely they simply weren't asked so the NOTW didnt want to take the chance of getting into trouble with their lawyers or the military. Wink

and speaking of getting into trouble......i wonder if the soldier who took these pix and sold them is going to get into trouble over this?  they aren't compromising Harry or showing the army in a bad light but remember back in March or April when someone in Harry's troop sold pix to The Sun of Harry watching a goat being butchered?  apparently the army wasn't too happy about that.....although that might have been mainly because he sold them to The Sun before it came out that Harry had been deployed.  so maybe this guy will get away with it.  although i wonder if Harry minds.....

I think its because in America in particular, suporters of Al Qeada or the Taliban and those groups are hunting down families of soldiers!!! It is protecting their identity

^ Mapleleaf, those pix are teasers with those low pants 35 34

I think more girls just fell in love with him

Where's Colin we need his take on all this: They did a real good job keeping him out of harms way..

So sorry that I have taken so long to become involved in this thread. There was something going on
in Europe on Sunday that was much more important than any discussion about a member of the British
royal family; the European Football Championship (the 'beautiful game', not that stuff played in the
USA).

I don't think anyone really needs my take on the articles in question; I think you are all smart
enough to realise that they are over sensational. Prince Harry, manning a machine-gun in defence of
his post, going out on patrol at great risk to his person (armed with a rifle), were obviously
stage-managed for the benefit of the gutter-press. The Taliban wasn't after him because they didn't
even know that he was there. Although he was, indeed, in danger (nowhere is truly safe in a war
zone, even Prince David was nearly killed in France and he was first in line to the throne, not
third), we know that the army kept him (Prince Harry), as far as possible; out of the really
dangerous situations; he was surrounded by Gurkhas (in my opinion the best and bravest infantrymen
in the world) and had a personal body guard of the famous SAS troopers. Keeping him that protected
is in keeping with British army tradition and would be in line with British Government requirements.

No doubt Prince Harry should be admired for insisting that he wanted war zone service and the fact
that he actually went there. Of course, he would have liked to be more involved but the authorities
would never allow it. If anyone would like to know about the type of engagement he didn't
experience, I would suggest reading '3 Para by Patrick Bishop". So admire him if you wish, he
deserves it, but don't let anyone tell you he is something that he himself disputes.

Thank you Colin, a voice of reason. I agree, and I would like to see him back at his regular army duties.
And as for the ^ picture... PH is a lovely looking young man, but that picture reminds me of the day they hauled Sadam out of his rat hole. This pic of PH isn't his best, and one that should be put in the history books. He reminds me of a carrot top Sadam, the trousers are vulgar. I would prefer him in a speedo than this  right and left lower quadrant look. ( note: all this said about Harry in a humourous manner, no bashing please).
Oh and Colin... as to your soccer.... nothing compares to the AFL!!!!!

Yes, he looks hot. A bit dirty for my liking, but nevertheless hot. smile

Reminds me of a blurb about him that caught my eye a few days ago, on the Mirror's website, the basic theme being that "Ginger men get better looking with age."

Quote
Take Prince Harry - and I would, if I wasn't old enough to be his great-grandmother and far too common. A few years ago he was the red-headed, pink-faced, scrawny ugly duckling to hunky Wills' swan. Now he's a beefy, ripped, ginger Adonis and Wills is balding, out of shape and looks like Prince Charles's Mini Me. Sorry, Mini One.

laugh Boy, are they right! laugh
