Wills 4-Ever!! Willite #79

« on: July 19, 2008, 06:08:29 PM »

The Press Association says Kate attended the wedding of Rose Windsor and George Gilman by herself because Wills is still serving on the Iron Duke.

I'm assuming photos and more articles will follow soon.  I'm curious to see Kate's outfit, the duck egg blue sounds pretty.

It's sad the UK Press has to give Kate Middleton publicity over the Bride.
She attended another family wedding alone......I guess she's "in" for sure.

I'm a little surprised she attended. I never had the impression that her and/or William had much to do with Lady Rose. I assume Harry did not attend since he's still in Lesotho so this time she was really there on her own - without a royal to accompany her. I searched but couldn't find any pictures. But I'm sure we'll get more than enough of those soon.  Tongue

Thanks for the article link fk2989!  Here are the pics:

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z120/mapleleaf07/Kate_RoseWindsorWedJuly08a.jpg
http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z120/mapleleaf07/Sophie_RoseWindsorWedJuly08a.jpg

The article says Sophie Wessex is Lady Rose's godmother, so she's at least one royal that Kate knows.  Kate wouldn't be at the wedding without an invitation, so I assume they meant for Kate to attend.  I do find it interesting that Kate was invited to attend even though Wills is still out on the Iron Duke.

Kate Middleton attended the wedding of the daughter of the Duke of Gloucester.  She definitely wouldn't be there without an invitation, so someone in the Duke of Gloucester's family must've decided they wanted Kate there.  The question is why did they want her there?

The logical answer is it's because she's Wills' girlfriend, but I also think it's because someone somewhere has decided that it's time for Kate to attend more functions where Royals are present.

That is for sure!

What the h*** happened with her clothes?Huh I would go to university or out for a coffee in her outfit!  Its definitely not befitting for a royal wedding and the black bird's nest doesn't fit to her light blue and purple colours either. She dressed better in the past at public events.

Kate looks to be dressed similar to other outfits I've seen at royal weddings.  Her outfit looks very similar to what Bea and Eugenie wore to Peter's wedding.  Here are more pics, clck to enlarge as usual:

I don't think Kate is dressed inappropriately. The jacket is very pretty and at least she's not wearing something black and see-through.

However the best dressed award goes to Autumn. She looks amazing. That's one pretty dress.
Did you see Anne?!? WTF who gave her that yellow nightmare to wear?  ohmy

The dress does have black, matching with shoes, purse and fascinator.

Sorry guys, I forgot to include the pic of the lovely newlyweds.  ^_^ Mr and Mrs Peter Phillips, in their first appearance as a married couple at a royal wedding other than their own!

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z120/mapleleaf07/PeterAutumn_RoseWindsorWedJuly08a.jpg

Autumn's fascinator looks similar to Kate's.  Kate and Autumn are dressed in similar style, I notice Autumn has on a lot of black though.  I think Autumn looks gorgeous, and Kate looks pretty also, but a little too tan for my taste.  She looks sort of tanned and oily, I don't think I like that.

Autumn's dress is pretty, but she looks better in softer - pale colours. Dark colors make her facial skin look rough.

The bride looks stunning.  Sometimes a simple dress is extremely elegant.  I love the color of the bridesmaids dresses.  I also loved the outfit Sophie wore.  What a beautiful shade of blue.  I even loved the hat.  Princess Anne's dress does absolutely nothing for her though.  It's summery but it makes her look very washed out.  I also don't like what Autumn wore.  From the one picture I saw she looked sort of stuffed into her outfit.  Maybe it was the camera angle or maybe she's put on some weight since the wedding ....

I love Gabriella's dress, and Freddy looks very elegant, but I don't think Gabriella's hat colour actually matches with her outfit.

Because there is no pink detail in the dress or shoes or purse.

On another note, Lady Rose Windsor was engaged since last November 2007, so no one in Camp Middleton said a word of KM being invited.  You think Chelsy would have gone or was invited if she where in the UK ?

^^  That's it wannbe, her hat is pink and everything else is a silver colour!  I couldn't put my finger on it.  Another article, this one's from the Telegraph:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/theroyalfamily/2308784/Kate-Middleton-attends-another-royal-wedding.html

The article says Rose wore a tiara that belonged to Queen Mary.  Pic of the tiara:

OK maybe she didn't dress inappropriately. I just expected her to appear in something really awesome.
I only saw the pic where she stands next to that elegant girl dressed in red and black, who looks amazing. Next to her Kate looks quite ordinary. But she can't kick the habit to wear at least something black

I agree light blue is a good choice for a colour. However the cut and material of the dress is not ideal. It's too breezy. I don't think red is an appropriate colour to wear for a wedding. I thought flashy colours were very much a nono at such events. However the grey dress of Lady Gabriella is very elegant though the light pink hat looks strange with it.

If kate and william aren't so close to Lady Rose, then it is different ftom her getting invitation to Autumn&Peter's wedding.I though she got that invitation because william  is close to Peter and it would be disrespectful not to invite her in his absence..But if she even gets invitatiom from an aloof member of RF,it means she 's in...There's no reason they try to be nice to Kate in order to please William..

wE'Ll have to live with kate for next 50 years........NOOOOOOOOO.....I still hope he'll ran away one day....

Okay, I admit it.  I have a problem with the outfit Princess Anne is wearing.

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z120/mapleleaf07/PrinAnne_RoseWindsorWedJuly08a.jpg

I just read somewhere else that Anne wore this exact same outfit to Charles and Di's wedding in 1981, hat and all, 27 years ago.  The outfit is okay, but it looks dated IMO.  I'm impressed that Pr. Anne is still the same dress size that she was all those years ago, but I would like to see her in some new clothing.  There is such a thing as taking frugality too far.
