I've always wondered whether someone knew about her and made a fake-tale in The Princess Diaries, loosely based on this Jazmin chick. Grimaldi, Grenaldi, Monaco, Geneva (small country like Monaco), girl from Cali, etc... just wondering!

Well, in the movie the princess was legtimate. Jazmin isn't and has no legal claim to the Grimaldi throne.

In the books she lives in New York, and the movie was based off the books but they changed the location to San Fran because that's where the director was from. Besides, the movie came out years before Jazmin was "outed".

I doubt her mother has any ideas or hopes about that. That idea has been etched in reality by so many announcements by the monarch and his reps. Infact, as we saw here, Jazmin was doing some gifting work abroad and they (the recipient nation) was touting her as a princess of bla bla. So now we see that ended. But,imo she should take advantage of any rights she has. She has been proven to be legally an heir. Why would someone call her a "chick"? She is one of millions of children by millions of men sowing their wild oats. I think any of us would like to be owned or recognized by our bio parents legal or otherwise. That for some reason, gives some pride and resonance to our life. And what is important is that we do something important with our lives. And I understand she is. But I doubt she will be heard of or seen, since there is a sue threat on photographers of the two o/w--I heard. |
