Its a Katie Nicholl article though so it might not be true but it would be nice to see him with the rest of the royal family at christmas

Thats fair enough him wanting to spend time with his family at christmas, given he was away last year in Afghanistan. I notice how KN doesn't get carried away with Chelsy and Sandringham like she has with Kate in the past.

I think thats because KN has always been a Kate supporter i think she was one of the ones wrote some pretty negative stuff when chelsy first started dating harry. its funny how everyone loved kate but then turned and how everyone thought chelsy was just this spoilt party girl and shes the one getting working hard towards a law degree whilst Kate "toils at the family firm"  and sits and waits for william whilst chelsy has her own life

I am quite surprised that KN did not say that Chelsy was invited. She must've realized that no one buyed that crap about Kate, so most likely no one would buy it about Chelsy, either.

If true, I think Harry's plan is great - Christmas with the family, then New Year's with Chels in Africa. I think it's important for him to spend time with his family and seeing as Chelsy is not even engaged to him yet, I don't think she needs an invite to Sandringham. Besides, I'd hope that she'd prefer to spend time with her own family anyhow. On the other side, I'm sure Harry would want to see Chelsy sometime during the holiday season, so New Year's is really perfect - and he can escape the cold, dreary weather too!

I don't think any of the royals can get out of Sandringham. I think they can spend New Years where ever they choose but not Christmas.

i'm with Mimi.  the gfs wouldn't be invited for Christmas....shooting parties afterwards or before sure....but Christmas is for families.

which is why i hope Harry is able to spend Christmas with his family this year.   last Christmas he was in Afghanistan, and the Christmas before that he was on duty in his barracks.  i think he may have missed the Christmas before that as well!

Girlfriends have never ever been invited at Christmas...... that would be the the sign that an engagement was on the cards and the press pack would gather...all the previous nonsense before about Kate refusing is absolute nonsese , she would never have refused in the first place but do we really think she was asked.

Charles's girlfriends used to arrive on the day after Boxing Day for the New Year celebrations.

I'm thinking of Lady Jane Wellesley, circa 1972.
