WOW, something is DEFINITELY going on for Carole to flat out speak to the press like that!  I've always believed they've released bits and pieces before under the cover of "friends" or "close sources," but for her to allow the paper (or the paper to take that liberty) to quote her directly in a conversation....  something is definitely brewing!!!!

Oh man, Mandrake...

Maybe in the Middleton Family thread.

James writes articles ? I'd like to read that.

james wouldn't have access to teh news if it wasn't for 'Catherine' and i thought pippa was seeking out press - that is the way it looked to me - there is no way she would talk to the press if it was still on

I'm supporting Carole one hundred percent. Her family have been humiliated for over a year now and she's finally reached breaking point. It's human instinct to protect your family, your own flesh and blood, against the evils of the world; in this case the press.

Her speaking out doesn't necessarily mean William has dumped Catherine.

Too much unfounded and not looked for mudslinging.

Me too, I said the same words when she made the small PR blurb for Kate in the PP site.

well i am slightly exagerating! she would be told what she could say and not say and when to talk and when not to talk, she would have guidance through her daughter and the three ring circus around kate would stop

Something just tells me no protection is being given to Kate or her family? So I dont think an engagement is close and something in this article makes me think it isn't.

I just wonder if the *** is about to hit the fan here.

This sounds like blackmail to me IMO You cant have your cake and eat it too.

Something makes me think that William and Kate are more apart than together right now.

yes i think you are right, i think there is a serious serious wobble going on and they are taking stock of what they have done over the past years which is focus solely on kate because of what it would bring to the family she saw it as a long term investment and when that fell through, well she had no choice but to admit she was wrong to do what she did, she ignored pippa and james,  how revolting

Well if its over, I am still happy that Mrs. Middleton talked.  It all sounds like a very well balanced lady. She didn't stay "stuck" talking about Catherine, but balanced a mix of family, business and all her kids.

I agree with you completely RW some stuff is about to hit the fan! and she's never complained about the media spotlight before. I think the couple wobble is still going on.   Wink

Good for her !!
And a good part of it is happening here.
I question the boards concerns over other "defamatory" posts/ pictures here, but are there any legal concerns regarding the posts being made about the Middleton family or business? Is this a concern, or does it not fall under the defamation laws??
I am not pointing fingers, I am merely asking a question. Posters (generalized) who post in this manner know who they are, so there is no need for me to suggest who they might be.
I feel sorry for this family. Here is an example... if you goggle the word midd*****, you get all the raunchy pics of James.
How would your families cope with this type of media hype/gossip/bashing?? Very sad.

Well it's good that she is protective of her family and that she mentioned James who probably has not received alot of attention because of mom's aspirations of marrying her daughters off to royalty/aristocrats.  Just look at those pictures of him dressing like a woman and a princess.  And what does she think of Pippa, the middle child?

Anyway, I'm shocked that she's spoken out, but I still feel she's always had a huge role in her daughters' pursuit of eligible men.

WHy do you or anyone feel sorry for this family?  Although I'm willing to make an exception for James and Mr. Middleton, in one way or another members of the Middleton clan have been in the public eye and have exposed themselves to public perception.  This includes Mrs. Middleton chewing gum at William's passing out ceremony.  (Sorry if I got the event wrong.)  Pippa is actively seeking media attention.  And we all know about Kate.

The same cannot be said of the Davy's.

If you put yourself out there, even just an inch, the media will take a mile.  (Hope that made some kind of sense.)
