He's busy with his military career so she wouldn't see much of him anyway until he was done with that. That's why I believe she is going on and creating a career for herself......no sense of waiting around....

Wow... one article saying she's going to stay in the UK permanently, and one saying she's moving back to Africa right after she graduates... and the press wonder why we don't trust them.

Hilarious... Chelsy is starting to resemble a toilet seat in a mens' room. I go out for a few hours and return to "one minute she's leaving the UK, and the next she's going" Up and down.....The papers must be running out of ink. Hang on to the trees, they'll soon be gone too!

No bashing! You obviously don't understand what a "toilet seat in a mens room" saying means.

Nope, obviously I don't. tell me... It sounds pretty negative to me A toilet seat in a mens room goes up and it goes down. Men use it up for one thing and down for another. So during the day a toilet seat goes up and down..... When I used this saying it was in reference to the tabloids saying Chelsy was leaving... Chelsy was staying.............. meaning: the decision to go or stay is up and down.

so if i called Kate and William's up and down relationship to a "men's toilet seat" you wouldn't find it offensive? an elevator (or lift if preferred ) would have been a better metaphor.

if their relationship was up and down, it would describe it to some of us perfectly. But I haven't heard lately the relationship was on the rocks. I guess it depends on what country you are from. This was all in the reference to the 2 Two posts re whether she was coming or going.

ignoring. i have no idea if Chelsy is going to be staying in the UK after graduating or not. she might not know herself at this point. the fact that she did her post-grad work in the UK is the strongest evidence that she plans to stay in the UK. but like someone else said elsewhere it depends on what she plans to do after graduating...or more to the point.... where she plans to continue her career afterwards. she's obviously got some great references so most doors will probably be open to her both in the UK and SA.

Would she be able to practice law in South Africa with an English law degree? I'm asking because here in the states, you have to pass a new exam for each state you want to practice law in. So if you passed the Bar Exam in New York, you couldn't even practice right across the river in New Jersey without passing another exam. So would she even be able to do law in SA?

I think some are jealous of Chelsy! I think what she is doing right now is fine.

i think she would have to do extra course work and then a bar exam -- here Professional Qualifications The Qualifications of Legal Practitioners Amendment Act of 1997 provides that the LLB is the universal legal qualification for admission and enrolment as an Advocate or Attorney. Normally those who wish to enter private practice as advocates are required to become members of a Bar Association by undergoing a period of training in pupilage with a practicing member of the Bar and by sitting an admission examination. Before admission as an attorney, an LLB graduate must serve as a candidate attorney with a practicing attorney. Attendance at a practical legal training course, or performance of community service may reduce the period required to serve articles. Thereafter candidates write a professional examination set by the relevant provincial Law Society. The Act of Parliament regulating admission to practice law is being revised and a new law is expected in the near future. This may change the requirements set out above. http://www.law.uct.ac.za/generic.php?m=/general/practice.phphttp://www.llm-guide.com/board/34887here they say you can practise with a degree from a common law country
