William, 26, who is training to be an RAF search-and-rescue pilot, is thought to be flying out to the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique, to join Kate Middleton at the £8,000-a-week Blue Watersvilla, which has a stunning swimming pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea. William is due to head for Shawbury in mid-January.

As I've said before, since all 4 of them are off @ at the same time, why can't all 4 of them take a holiday together?        If Mystique is all that, don't you think Harry would want to take Chelsy there too? Or why doesn't W&K go w/Harry to Africa to visit Chelsy?  Its obvious that the brothers love being together so why can't their girlfriends plan a holiday w/their boyfriends for the sake of them being together for as long as possible?  The clue is in the brothers planning an "all boys" shooting holiday.  And just where will the girls be?  This is the second time in less than six months the princes planned time together (the Sept. African bike trip) so what's up w/their girlfriends?  Both have had their girlfriends at public occasions w/the royal family, i.e. P&A's wedding, medal ceremonies, polo & boxing matches, etc.  Its obvious these girls are important to W&H so why not hang out on a beach together?     
Maybe its been advised by the princes or their new pr person for Kate & Chelsy to keep lower profiles--no more pics of smoking fags and scratching your behind or falling down w/your legs spread open while roller skating--just pr images of working for family's firm and work exp. for barristers!!       Its times like these you know the boys are really missing their mother!!  Diana would've try to make plans for all of them to spend time together for the yearend holidays.       Or maybe its if all of them are seen together on a holiday together, the engagements rumors would really go over the top and the royal court does not want that to happen?  IMHO

Yes, Lisa I think I agree with you. One thing that is amazing as a parent is to have the whole family together for a holiday. A beach holiday would be good, Diana did it when they were small.

I thought the rumour was C parents were going too, so that would nix it for PW & K.

GC, both couples have been going out for @ least 4-5 yrs. as bf&gf now so they've had enough alone time together. Their time together as a couple is well planned in advance due to the princes' military schedules. Either this is the palace's doing or there's a problem w/their girlfriends!   Its been rumored that Kate hasn't had much time to see William and because of Chelsy's law studies, she hasn't had much time for Harry. This could be the last holiday for either couple for a long time (6 mos.) so no expenses spare for their girlfriends' holidays.  Both princes want to show their girlfriends, their families, and the rest of the world they know how to treat a lady--be there for them, faithful, and loving--unlike some members of the Windsor family who shall not be named.  The next six months for both couples will be very telling. Chelsy is due to graduate from Leeds and both princes will begin their helicopter training together this summer on the same base. What will Kate be up to? Who knows & cares? Unless there is a major change within the Windsor household--both couples seems destined to carry on as usual.

I think it's great that William and Harry want to plan some guy time with each other.  Why not?  Diana would be very pleased that they have such a good relationship.

Yes its nice they want to spend a "boys only" outing together.  Outside of their father, they only have each other.  Diana taught them to look out for each other.  She knew William would need his brother when he becomes King so yes, she would be proud that they have a loving & close relationship.     But it still begs the question...why can't the 4 of them go somewhere together? That definitely would've made their mother happy!

Do any of you find it strange that the only place W&K seems to like to go to is Mystique?  No offence, but how many times can you visit the same place w/the same person in a short amount of time (practically back to back visits) before it becomes a little bit boring.  I'm sure Mystique is a beautiful island w/lovely views of the ocean and tranquility but don't you think they would've come up with a different location for some R&R?  This trip may have been special if they had chosen another local but its the same ole thing all over again.  Do any of you think a proposal might happen now before he goes into RAF training regardless of what Kate's mother thinks?

Chelsy has already graduated from Cape Town Uni so she didn't need to do the full course (4 yrs. maybe)--she'll be a graduate of 6 yrs. of college!  Both Harry and William will be training full time this summer so a "boys only" outing in January makes sense but a few days away on a beach w/their girlfriends can be just as nice--maybe?

Since this is a Katie Nicholl article, I have a hard time believing that this article could possibly even be correct.  Whether Katie Nicholl says things I like to read, or says things I don't like to read, I have difficulty in believing anything she says because so often she turns out to be wrong.  

But for the sake of discussion, I'll play devil's advocate and assume that Katie Nicholl is correct ( Not!).  Then why single Wills out and say that he isn't listening to Granny's advice?  Surely "Wills and Harry aren't listening to Granny's advice" would be more accurate? 

According to Katie Nicholl they're both either going on holiday or are already on holiday in exotic locales with their girlfriends.

The article said that Wills will be joining Kate Middleton at the Blue Waters villa on Mustique ( there's no 'y' in the word Mustique ).  We all know that when you 'join' something it's because it's already in progress, so if Wills joins Kate in Mustique, it's very possible he's 'joining' because she's already there with her family.  

For all we know, the Middleton family could've gone to Mustique for Christmas itself, and just stay in a separate villa from Wills and Kate like they did in August.  The Middletons certainly went to some island in the Caribbean for Christmas last year, we even saw the pap photos of their whole family in the Airport queuing up for the flight back to the U.K., right here on the Forum.

So in my role as devil's advocate, and pretending that Katie Nicholl is correct in her article, it's very possible that Wills will join the Middleton family on Mustique just as Harry has already joined the Davy family on Baz. (island of Bazaruto, Mozambique).  

Anyway this is at least the 3rd time Harry has joined the Davy family on Baz, so he must like it.  If Wills is going to be with the Middletons on Mustique as well, it could be that both brothers simply enjoy being on holiday with their girlfriends and their girlfriends' families in those 2 places.

*On a different note, I just realised that ever since Charles married Camilla, there have been no more Christmas cards with Charles, Wills, and Harry included together.  The last Christmas card Wills and Harry were on is the card Charles sent out for Christmas 2005.  It was actually Charles and Camilla's official wedding photo that included both families, and they used the photo as their Christmas card photo.

There have been no Christmas cards that included Wills and Harry for Christmas 2006, 2007, or this year of 2008.*

But getting back to the article, only time can prove whether Katie Nicholl was correct about where Wills and Harry are going/have gone.  She's usually about 90% wrong and 10% correct on her articles, so it remains to be seen if she got this one right.  

Since the year is just about over, I'd hope for Katie Nicholl's sake as a 'journalist' ( yeah, right) that she can get it right at least once this year.

This is going off topic but....

It's possible to finish University in 3 years. I'm not talking about Chelsy. But In America we have such things as "AP" classes (Advanced Placement) in grade school. So before you go to University you can already get college credit for taking college level courses in high school. You can also go to college when you are grade school. It's not a common thing to do but kids do do it, especially home schooled children, but normal bright kids don't do it... Going to University myself  and having had to take a placement test for a subject I noticed and talked to a lot of high school kids taking the same test so they could start their University studies early only being 15, 16...years old. Plus I only went to High School for three years before I went to University and graduated after 3.5 years. so It didn't take me the whole 4 yrs to graduate.

Most college courses are 4 yrs, some are even 5 yrs (Undergraduate+Masters together) some are 14 months (Accelerated Degree)

I guess the line of thought for this subject in this thread is that the brothers need to bond now that they have been eliminated from their dad's life as suggested by their elimination from the C&C christmas card.  But think about how the Christmas cards could have been done differently.  C&C are married so they have to be together on the card.  If Wills and Harry are included, then Laura and Tom must also be included.  But since they have both married since before the 2006 Christmas card, their spouses should also be included.  But in that case, it would seem like long-term girlfriends should also be included since according to the history of C&C, long-term girlfriends are as important or more so than a legal spouse.  See how sticky it's getting
