That question would make me stop and think but at least Harry is competent enough to follow up on such a generic/lame question.

yeah, it wasn't the best question to ask someone who's never been to New York before and hadn't been to the US since he was a kid.

I know right I just thought wow Matt what a lame opening question haha I would been stumped for atleast 10 mins before even being able to give an answer that would make sense.

IF Prince Harry is not enjoying this part of the service ( helicopters), why not allow him to change direction and do something that he knows he will succeed at? Then again to quit when the going gets tough will give the media plenty of ammunition to give him thumbs down..

We all knew that Prince Harry was going to be great as an ambassador for the Monarchy and the UK, as he was this past weekend. He is a natural!! Perhaps it would be better to give him more of these types of engagements to do, for special circumstances such as the charity he played for. OR pair him up with his Father to do foreign engagements (Cam can be left at home, as she is a constant reminder of the down fall of the POW). I'll bet even the POW's popularity will rise tremendously if he were to be seen more on this type of jaunt , with his son..winwin for all!!

Brilliant idea! However I don't think it will happen, nothing and no-one stands between Harry and his desire to be on the frontline. I'm praying that the new government we hopefully should be getting soon withdraws all British troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. Whilst I salute all troops for defending our country and facing certain death, this war has been the biggest mistake.

i cant really see him doing that though.  he's gotten this far and its been tough (and may get tougher) but that's no reason to just give up.  if he's leaves it'll be because he couldn't pass the exams and so had to.  i doubt if he'd just walk away without giving it a shot. 

and like you said....people (especially in the tabloids) would be all over him.  although i think they'll be all over him no matter what the outcome of this is.

passes exams: "its only because he's a prince and it was a waste of time and money"
fails exams: "stupid prince couldn't hack it and was a waste of time and money"
walks away: "stupid, softy prince couldn't hack it and wasted of time and money for nothing"

the time will come when Harry (and William) will take on royal duties full time.  its safe to say that they've both shown that they'll do a good job of it.  although i can understand the argument that they (or at least William) should be full-time royals by now i think its important that they be given this time to peruse their personal goals in the military.  i think that if they've had this opportunity as young men they'll be more content once the time comes.

   Great Post.  Your right, Harry is a natural.  He came across as relaxed and maturer.  Great idea about sending him on foreign trips with Charles.

I personally don't believe Harry is not enjoying learning to fly helicopters, but may struggle with the theory.  It is not unusual for members of the armed forces to change careers within the forces a couple of times.

I wouldn't want to see Harry quit, because I know how much it means to him.  He needs a career, and never forget once William marries and has children of his own, Harry will naturally be marginalised. 

Harry needs to do something for himself.  I hope he stays on in the forces, as it is something he has wanted to be apart of since he was a child.

I hope Harry is not marginalised since he brings much needed pezzazz to the monarchy.  Both Wills and Kate are a little too serious -- which is ok, but can get dull.  Then once William marries and has his own children --  he won't be using them in any PR exercises so we'd have to wait until their late teens at least before we might start to see the fireworks Marmalade can generate now.
