Uncle Gary isn't genetically blessed that's for sure. I hope if they marry Kate and Wills kids don't turn out looking like him. ICK.
I notice a rather mean comment about Harry at the end of the article saying the Midds would be more "suitable" for him with an Uncle like that.
I wonder what William's family is thinking now...Mama Midds must be FURIOUS with her brother. I wonder if they had been on speaking terms. I doubt they will be after this.
I don't think Wills took kindly to being greeted that way by his would be Uncle.

Her uncle is an idiot. There's always one in every family.
What struck me though, were some of the tidbits he dropped. He claimed there might be an engagement announcement this year, and he also said that Prince Philip taught Kate how to shoot when she was invited over one Christmas. Interesting.

It may be all talk. I think he likes attention and probably has no idea who taught Kate to shoot a gun. I kind of doubt WIlilam confides in this guy enough to tell him when (or if) he's proposing to Kate. Kate didn't spend Christmas with the Windsors no matter what her Uncle claims (I doubt he's too reliable a source). I would imagine Mama Midds tries to distance herself and her famiily from her brother. He hasn't been mentioned much up until now.

William wouldn't have to tell him anything. If Kate and William have discussed marriage, then she would have told her mother.
He could very well be full of crap, I have no idea.

She may not tell her mother everything. I think when or if Wills discusses marriage with Kate it will be the time of the actual proposal with the announced engagement immediately following. I have the impression Willis doesn't "discuss" marriage with Kate until he's ready to propose to her. Wills is a bit cautious IMO. Wills may not trust the MIdds to keep quiet if he utters one word of discussi98on of marriage with Kate and this Uncle of hers seems to be a loose cannon.

Well, that's one relative that won't be invited if there's a royal wedding. When's the last time that William and Kate were in Ibiza with the family? The trip in 2005 when they were all pictured out on the boat together? They've been sticking to Mustique for the past couple of years, it seems -- perhaps they didn't want to go back to Uncle Gary's house after he called William what he did?

I think you're right Ella Kay, they haven't been back to Ibiza since 2006. They've definitely been sticking with the island of Mustique. The Goldsmith uncle is horrible. The whole drug and Call Girl thing is extremely unsavoury, but hopefully the uncle will be arrested by the police in Spain, thrown in jail, and sentenced to prison for his activities.
If there is any silver lining to the situation at all, it's that the uncle lives in Spain and not the U.K.

I have the impression Willis doesn't "discuss" marriage with Kate until he's ready to propose to her. Honestly, I have no idea what he would or wouldn't discuss. I assume that during the 8 years they have been in a relationship, they have discussed marriage. But, I'm not in their relationship, so I can't say with any certainty how they feel or what they discuss. Ella Kay, the article stated that they haven't been back since 2006. So you might be right about them trying to avoid the Uncle.

I posted this above, I didn't know it was already down here. I think this raises real questions about what goes on in W&K's private life. This guy makes no attempt to hide what he does. They have to have known.

I don't know if having an unsavory uncle is enough to "disqualify" Kate from The Firm. After all, HM married Prince Philip two years after WWII, and his brothers-in-law (and maybe sisters, I don't know) were members of the Nazi party. I'd say that trumps having a druggie uncle in Ibiza.

You're right Ella Kay, having Nazi party members as family members definitely trumps the drug-dealing uncle living in Spain. If the Queen can deal with that, then I guess Wills can deal with this.

I just hope this won't affect them too much. It probably still needs some form of damage control, though. As long as the Middleton core family (Kate, her parents and siblings) don't have anything major uncovered about themselves, I doubt it'll "disqualify" Kate from the Firm. That said, this article is still distressing if true. On a side note, the positive thing is Uncle Gary hasn't mentioned anything directly drug or hook*r related about Kate and William's visit. Now THAT would have been severely damaging. I got the impression that they stayed in his villa in 2006 as guests, and see each other from time to time. That's about it. Nothing suggests that Kate's family is intimately connected with his work or nasty activities. Uncle Gary just wants to flaunt his connections.

WOW! I'm really shock about this article First of all, great job at the reporters for the investigation! They made a pretty good job and that video is just great prove of what they are talking about! Second, I don't know why I got this weird shame feeling when I watch the video and to hear the uncle. Also I feel like by putting 2 pictures and mentions on the article about W&K hanging out with the uncle is a bit fishy. I don't know if they want to make the couple seen as persons who deal with drug dealers, even if is family. I know almost everyone have family members that have done something not so good, not only talking about something illegal, even some bad behaviour or liberal. In every family there is always a "black ship" but a drug dealer and a *** pimp? Is not something small! Is one of the worst crimes in the world I hope this doesn't affect Kate so much, because I think there will be some damage to her, even if is a "distant" relative

Goodness gracious! What's next? Kate has been back to Ibiza, if I remember well, the summer she and William were off. We had pictures of her with Emilia D'Erlanger. (That's what we know of). http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/b/new-idea/4341/the-worlds-most-eligible-bachelor-turns-25/There were also pictures of her(?) and Pippa with boyfriend vacationing at Ibiza. Wow, if this is true.

Lots of people in the princes' lives have been involved with drugs, including their step-brother, Tom Parker Bowles, and their cousin, Lord Frederick Windsor. Prince Harry was busted for smoking pot a few years ago. Friends have been involved with drugs, too, I believe. Regardless, even the lovely Gary Goldsmith didn't allude to William or Kate having engaged in any drug use. Really, the worst thing he accused either of them of doing was William's cracking a bawdy joke.

I'm starting to remember that months ago I read about a nightclub that was closing because of drug related stuff and the owner was a friend of the royal boys. Or it was a club that the boys used to go? Mmm cant remember clearly right now, so sorry for that you all , but yeah they have been related to drug stuff several times. It will be a shame if this story will developed more and start to involve W&K and Kate family in a more deep way Because who knows? This men doesn't seem to be ashamed of talking, he might be the kind of relative that might start writing books about Kate
