Wow, talk about damage control to show they're not splitting up bc of Kate's uncle!!! As paranoid as William is, he would never in a million years have let that be captured had he not had a plan. The last "kiss" was right before they broke up to dispel rumours. Here, they're preventing the rumours.
BUT they ARE adorable, and Kate looks sooo tiny! Also, she seems to be wearing colour! Finally!! Hope they had a fun night!!

The thing is, this happened BEFORE the Uncle story broke. But they def. knew it was coming --PCC protocol. William knew, at least generally, what type of story would be released on Sunday. |

This screams Damage Control saying don't worry folks we're still together. I can't imagine the couple would not know the stores were about to come out. The pic is so very "Thorn Birds" with Kate clinging to William. THese two are famous for strategic photo ops.

you're probably right, that it was staged. though you would think it would be a lot of easier to be affectionate at polo rather than in a car park with a carefully positioned reporter.

Kate grabbed William into a hard embrace and kissed him hard on the lips! As soon as he realized they're being photograph, he broke the hold she had on him and immediately got into his car! William must be lean and lanky (doesn't weigh much) for a tiny woman like Kate to practically grab & lift him into her arms for a kiss! Yes, the outing seems to have happen @ the same time the story broke about her uncle. One can't help what their relatives get up to--its safe to say W&K made their last visit to his place in '06. Its being reported that William had to disown Kate's Uncle Gary--meaning no more family visits w/Goldsmith--just the Middletons! Yes, its seems that they're happy but an engagement announcement @ the end of the summer may be just a little bit premature.  Its obvious William intends to be w/Kate for as long as he can until he moves to his other base training. Yes, it would be nice if an announcement of some kind is made sooner rather than later!  |

Of course it was staged. I think we can all agree on that point. The thing is he (William) know the headlines were coming and he knew he needed to squash the now it's time to dump Kate crap. And he did. As good as a written statement? better! Way better. And I bet Kate thinks so too! And for those on others sites that will claim Wills was drinking or drunk...sorry Charlie, no way the security detail lets the future king get behind a wheel of a car drunk. You can lay bets that he was cold sober. Good move,Wills. You knoocked uncle Gary right off the front page! |

Yeah, I tend to agree w/COH. They knew the pics were taken and for them to come out at this time w/the Uncle story seems to be very convient as we rarely see their affection captured on film. I am glad that they did this, but sad that it was needed to squash rumors as we all know William dislikes the press and tries to avoid them at all cost when it concerns his personal life. I think now would be a good time to announce an engagement.
