Princes trip to boost our wounded soldiers--Express

The two young Princes went to the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine at Selly Oak in Birmingham last ­Friday after Prince Charles told them it was “full to the gunnels” with injured military personnel who needed cheering up.

An aide said: “They were both very moved by the occasion and met a lot of seriously wounded people and their families as well.”

Off topic - shouldn't they have been preoccupied with their flying duties? Unless they booked this Friday off in advance...

^if it wasn't during leave or their time off then they would have needed to get permission to go....and probably permission from the hospital too.  although if it took place at night they could have finished their day as usual at 6pm and then driven to Birmingham.  it's only a little over an hour away according to Google Maps.

if they did take off work to do it i cant hold it against them considering what they were doing.  i remember reading somewhere that William and Harry would occasionally take off time from their military duties to preform royal duties/events.

btw, their shirts aren't totally the same.  Harry's shirt has a white check pattern....if you look closely.

These lads do A Lot for their Queen and Country over and above their military careers....YET, we hear....they don't do enough..OR How dare them miss a day of the RAF et al....
They do what is right and best as it's clear trying to please everyone will not work.
