Princess Anne

Saw a documentary a few weeks ago with Princess Anne. Close ups showed she is not an ugly duckling as was once reported. Anyone with ideas as to how she might change her appearance for a bit more modern? I believe she is taking after her mum in dress sense but maybe a few highlights in her hair?

OH what a topic! 

I'd start with a different hairstyle - this one is way too severe - then some makeup and a smile. 

I'd also re-think my wardrobe if my 80+ year old mother dressed better than I do.

I don't know how old your both are, but when she was younger, she was quite lovely....She use to wear her her down in a flip type style..She also had the best figure there ever was. Neat, slim and evenly porportioned.. It is almost as if she desires to make herself less attractive as a well of dismissing unwanted attention, as she does/did have it all...

Hair style for sure has to go ( I believe she does it daily herself, as you can see frizzy ends)..
I also feel that her "private" wardrobe is much different from the uniform type of clothing she wears when on duty....I saw a photo of her somewhere of her in the back ground at a private party or function and she looked smashing...Must try and locate it...

Thankyou Kate. I'm in my early 40's and i remember seeing a pic of her with Peter and Zara as babes. She looked so beautiful and her hair was blonde. Her dress was elegant and radiant smile. WHen I saw her on youtube a few weeks ago the smile was still stunning.

This woman persona can change with a smile...When she does smile, she is really lovely and I also think she has a naughty fun personality. After all, if she is not afraid to tell some reporters to "naff off", I'm certain the odd naughty joke is acceptable, not that being naughty is nice, but she would/could be fun....

Kate, I'm old enough to remember her younger days yet still young enough to know she could do better now.    She has a good figure and she should care more about how she looks.

i've seen pictures of Anne when she younger.  she was really lovely.  Zara takes after her.

no one can stay young forever but a different hairstyle and more flattering clothes would be nice.  but she doesn't come across as the sort of person who's worried by things like that.  better things to do and riding a horse would just mess it all up anyway.

Ursula... I agree that she could and should put more time and effort into appearance. However, I feel that by not doting on her person to the extreme, e.g Princess Michael, perhaps it's her way of keeping herself nondescript in the eyes of the public...Geez, perhaps I didn't say that the way I wanted...
I would like to see the frizzies gone and a better hairstyle...

Kate, I understand what you're trying to say and as Stix Chix commented, Anne doesn't particularly care about that sort of thing.  To each his own, eh?

I think for PA her hairstyle has become her signature. I would love to her hair down now to see how long it is. I think as one gets older the hair should go a bit shorter I would love to see her with a shoulder length bob.
