It's hard to say. I just wish that he would have had a few other girlfriends before he settles down. I think he's going to have so much temptation that after he does get married he's going wish he would have at least dated a few other girls. But maybe not

Of course, he will ask her.  Maybe not now, but soon.  Honestly, can anyone imagine William marrying anyone but Kate?  Personally, I don't think she will be a good match for William as part of a royal working couple as she has not shown much work ethic or self-respect.  It's become rather obvious that she's only in it for the crown.  I wish it weren't so.  Meanwhile, William seems to have stayed in it because it was "safe."  I had hoped William would have had 2 or 3 relationships before settling down, instead of sticking to a woman he started dating around 20.

But Kate has basically run the clock down.  Game over.

I agree. I like Kate but I think it may have been better if William had dated around more and had at least one other serious relationship (I know he dated Jecca but they were too young for that relationship to be considered serious).

papers have said they can marry in 2010 they can marry in 2011 they can marry 2012  and william has never proposed!! so funny!

^Perhaps they're just doing the same thing they did last year which is typical of them. They sound like an old married couple stuck in a rut of routine    I, too, think he should have sowed his oats a little more but like someone said he could have and we just didn't hear about it because the public focus was always on Kate.

Yes they apparently go to the same spots year in year out; Scotland, Klosters, Mustique and weekend escapades, last year they went to Cornwall, France.

Seems also that H&C like Mauritius.

I definately say, he has not had enough relationships and one day, he'll know that himself!! They met, IMO, too young, to be going to together for 8 /9 or 10 years. I believe he truly respects Kate and admires some of her traits but I honestly feel he is settling, IF he goes ahead and marries her, as I said on another thread...

I don't think so.  Her involvement with the family proves his longterm intentions.

If it's the case, I don't think badly of him. He's in a high pressure situation . . . no one can really know without actually being in his shoes, what it's like to have the world around him pressuring him, but I think it must be an extremely restricting and uncomfortable feeling at times.

When people get together and stay together I generally don't see any reason to question why. I expect that like in my own relationship it's because the two people involved love eachother and want to stay together. Some choose to marry, some choose to live together, some choose to live apart , but still be a couple.  
I would not tell a person  you can't love your partner enough because you haven't dated enough people. I wouldn't assume that a guy keeps a partner until he finds something better.And it's rather ignorant to think that if you date around a lot when younger, you will be a better partner later on. I know enough guys who weren't able to change their habits after marriage to not be impressed by such a theory. I would say that those who find their partners at an early age are entitled to have their love taken as seriously as anybody else. And finally I do not understand the wish to find something wrong/bad in William's relationship or his choice of partner. There are IMO no  signs that he isn't doing ever so well.  I think we should all be able to live with that fact, we should be happy for him really.
