Congratulations William, but he already has his wings. If I'm not wrong he will get a Badge - later stitched to his uniform.

Yes Karla64, after the ceremony comes a private reception (party - food and drink) for all the RAF personnel, family and friends.

Thank you JJ and K64, my point still holds Wink
Hurray 4 William. I toast with a cup of coffee!

Out of topic
(No mentioning of the tennis gate and I know why, nothing bad people, the media just have to play 'honestly - recommend to read the latest article The Guardian - she and midds where being followed from Berks to Cornwall, what an obsession. So if the press decide to write bashing Kate and miss out on the truth, well some of the press will counter attack with the truth - The Guardian decided to take the lead. I just hope the likes of Katie Nicholl doesn't go bizarre.)

Yay!!! Thanks K64

Loved the POW's speech and humorous too

Quote
Charles paid special tribute to the family, friends and girlfriends present at the ceremony for their 'unwavering support' of the students.
He said: 'I know only too well how complicated it can be having a relative or a close friend in the forces, because they are rarely, if ever, around.

'But today is a day, I think, of great pride for all of the parents, not to mention the girlfriends.

'We all know how hard our sons have worked in between all the other activities that we don't know about.'
He wished the graduates 'every possible good fortune' and advised them to cultivate a 'sixth sense'.
He said: 'Some of you no doubt will find yourselves in Afghanistan where the ground troops will put great faith in you.

'Others no doubt among you will be plucking people from danger, maybe sheep in distress, not to mention endless ladies with conveniently sprained ankles on awkward mountain sides across the country.
'Whatever the case, you will all be in charge of an amazingly expensive piece of kit which a lot of people won't want you to break, so I can only suggest that you cultivate that sixth sense, if you know what I mean, which can so often keep you out of trouble.'

Wannabe - Yes you were correct. It was all about the wings.  However, what if ALL the media put a ban on the subject of Kate Middleton and the Midd clan? Perhaps the BRF would like that, but how would the Midds react to not being mentioned for weeks in the papers?

I wonder if Tiggy was invited? She was sooo close to the Princes for such a important part of their lives!!

There is always a what if.  But as I mentioned at KM thread, I had an advantage of the situation (a press friend told me exactly what The Guardian journo wrote today), the dude wanted more more more, not only the tennis photos...If you get my feed That The Papers Have to/or Should be Honest with what Really Happened during Christmas with the Midds (that is where the Lawyers where saying "if we do not get a 'satisfactory'...). The press have knowledge of this and The Guardian put it well. As you will read it - he says the editors of UK press was reached with these photos and them midds swallowing lunch (why the obsession? of the paps? and what interest do we have in seeing the midds having lunch in a dinning room at a private property? weird) Just imagine a KN getting sued for twisting...

That's my last out of topic in this thread, lets discuss that in KM tennis gate thread. Meanwhile another cup of coffee (toast) 4 Willy.

I'm also toasting with cup of coffee. Good call, wannabe!

Cute speech by Charles. I hope everyone had a lovely time at the ceremony and reception. I'm sure the parents and partners are so proud of their pilots.

Kate was there and William was sitting next to her. Last time she was seated on one side and he on the other. Was this a less informal affair? William & Kate looked happy. So what happens now?

  Hello all.

Kate Middleton was not on the list of guests for today. I give my word to all of you, she was not expected. Not only that but she received some very harsh words from a Senior Figure today.

 Hello all.

Kate Middleton was not on the list of guests for today. I give my word to all of you, she was not expected. Not only that but she received some very harsh words from a Senior Figure today.

As much as I would love to believe you, the only pictures of Kate showed her next to William, both smiling, and leaning in close together to chat.  She was seated right next to him.  They both looked happy.  It certainly looks as though she was expected.  The evidence does not support what you have to say.

You give quite cryptic remarks that are totally unsubstantiated with any kind of fact.  You can't even provide other facts than "I have a source" that tells you something that, will all due respect, sounds totally made up.  Are you Katie Nichols in disguise having a leg pull around here?  It sounds like your sources and her sources possess about the same reliability.

Congratulations to William.  He looks very pleased with his success, and it seems like his father is quite proud, as well.  Good for him!
