These are Frequently asked questions (also known as FAQ) about Prince William. Please refer to these before posting a new question about him. All answers were found at the official website for the Prince of Wales, unless otherwise stated. Some answers regarding his personal life are speculation based on reports from the news media. Take them with a grain of salt

Q. When and where was Prince William born?
A. He was born June 21st , 1982 at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in London.

Q. What's his full name?
A. Prince William Arthur Philip Louis

Q. What was William's first public appearance?
A. A visit to Wales on St David's Day (1 March) He attened a service at Llandaff Cathedral at the age of 8 years old.

Q. Where did he go to school?
A. In Sept. 1985 he entered Mrs Mynor's Nursery School in west London
In January 1987, William was enrolled at Wetherby School, also in London
He spent five years at Ludgrove School from September 1990 until July 1995
He then went onto to Eton College in Windsor.
William is now attending St. Andrew's University in Scotland.

Q. What were William's A levels in Eton?
A. He took three A levels: history of art in which he recived a B grade; geography in which he got an A; and biology in which he got a C.

Q. What's his Univerisity Degree?
A. William started University with the intention of graduating with a History of Art degree. He changed his major to Geography half way through and is going to graduate in the spring of 2005 with a degree in Geography.

Q. Is he going into the army?
A. He began his term at Sandhurst in January of 2006. After spending time with the Army, William spent short attachments with the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. In a recent statement, William said he plans to transfer from the Army to the Air Force permanently in January 2009, where he will train for 18 months to be a pilot. It is speculated that he could spend about 3 to 4 years as a Search and Rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force.

Q. If I write to him will he reply back to me?
A. William recieves letters from people all over the world daily. It woud be impossible for him to read and respond to everyone that wishes him to.It has been reported that people do receive a reply back but it most likely a formal letter from someone other than William, but who works for him.

Q. What sports does he like?
A. Football, rugby, Tennis, swimming and water polo

Q. What are some of his hobbies?
A. Hunting, polo, reading and movie-going.

Q. How tall is William?
A. It is reported in the press that he is between 6'3" - 6'4" tall.

Q. Who is William's girlfriend?
A. Officially, there is no report of him having a girlfriend - however Kate Middleton is widely accepted as his unofficial girlfriend.

Q. Who has William dated in the past?
A. Again, there is no official statement as to who he as dated. However, royal forum members have put their heads together and attempted to come up with a tentative time line of William's love life:

• Davina Duckworth Chad ~ shortly after graduating Eton (rumors have it that she was the lucky lady who robbed William of his virginity, although obviously there has been no official word)
• Jecca Craig during his gap year in Kenya, although Clarence House sources stated they had always been just close friends
• Arabella Musgrave ~ before attending St. Andrews. Tabloids speculated they broke up because of the distance
• Olivia Hunt ~ William and Olivia were rumored to have dated during his first year at St. Andrews (around 2001, 2002)
• Anna Sloane ~ William is said to have asked Anna out while at St. Andrews, but rumors say she rejected him (2001, 2002). He visited her in Tennessee before his final year at St. Andrews
• Was William single in 2003?
• Kate Middleton ~ 2004. Kate is credited to be William's first serious girlfriend and tabloilds speculate they have been together 3 or 4 years. In reality though, he had been linked to many women his first few years at St. Andrew's, so William and Kate have probably only been together about 2 years at the most
• William and Kate were rumored to have split up during a summer break from St. Andrews. It is possible William was single during this time
• Kate Middleton ~ 2005 thru April 2007
• April 2007 - around Oct, Nov 2007: William was single and playing the field
• Around Nov 2007 - Now: Kate Middleton

Q. Does William smoke or drink?
A. He has been seen drinking on occasion and also been spotted smoking according to some tabloids.

Q. What does he sound like ?
A. William has an upper-class English accent and a deep voice.

Q. Does he have any pets?
A. William has a brown lab named Widgeon.

Q. Can William marry someone other than a British girl? Can he marry a Catholic?
A.  William is legally allowed to date or marry a girl of any nationality.

According to the Act of Settlement of 1701, William cannot marry a Catholic. If he chooses to he will lose his place in the line of succession to the throne. However, it is believed that if he wishes to marry a Catholic the Queen or Prince Charles will ask parliment to change the law.


Q. Is William a virgin? Has he been circumsized?
A. There is no way to know the answer to these questions, short of asking him. Since none of us here plan to ask him , speculation is best left to Pm's.

Q.Who is Guy Pelly and where can I find a picture of him?
A. Guy Pelly (or Pelly) is a friend of both William and Harry. He went with William to Africa several summers ago. To find a picture go HERE
